Celebrate St. Paddy's Day with renaissance style

The Poxy Boggards and The Merry Wives of Windsor are two of the most successful singing groups that have evolved from the Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire.

They were also among the first groups to ever take their music "off-site" into local venues, and be successful at it. In fact, venues have been known to be "drunk dry" by the boisterous fans of these two renaissance stalwarts.

The Boggards released their latest CD, Wish You Were Beer, last year, and it was nominated for an LA Music Critic Award for Best Folk album.

This year, the Wives are about to release their latest CD, Buy Yourself Another, which is an early favorite for the 2013 LA Music Critic Award.

The Wives will be celebrating the release of this new CD when they co-host their "Almost St. Patrick's Day" show at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano on Saturday night, March 16. Doors open at 6 for dinner and the show begins at 8 p.m. Dinner reservations are strongly recommended for best seating - call 949/406-8930. You can still go to the concert without dinner reservations, but you will have to sit in the back near the bar (maybe that's not such a bad thing!)

Tickets for the Wives can be bought here, while tickets for the Boggards can be bought here, depending on which group you want to support. Either way, the tickets are just $15.

Help support indie music by attending the show and buying their CDs. If you can't make it out to the show, you can catch them and their music at the Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire, beginning April 6, 2013.
