Recently, The Young New Yorkers for the Fight Against Parkinson’s committee of the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) hosted its 7th annual Celebrate Spring New York at LAVO in Midtown Manhattan. The Young New Yorkers for the Fight Against Parkinson’s committee is a group, which was founded by Penn Egbert, Missy Egbert Sheehan, and Georgina Schaefer, of close to 100 New Yorkers that are committed to raising awareness and finding a cure for Parkinson’s Disease. Guests enjoyed small bites and assorted cocktails, as they enjoyed music spun by DJ Brenda Black. Notable attendees included Missy Egbert Sheehan, Penn Egbert, Gregory Romero, Barbara Romero, Jonathan Romero, Robin Elliott, and Georgina Schaefer, among many others.
The evening was certainly a great success. The evening’s ticket proceeds and live auction raised over $90,000 for PDF’s Côté Clinical Genetics Initiative, which supports research on genetic markers in Parkinson’s disease. Everyone was so grateful and excited to be a part of this worthy endeavor, and enjoyed dancing the night away. What a great reason to celebrate!
