Celebrate spring by taking a class on how to utilize Chinese herbs and vegetables

This Saturday, April 17, Ben Pao Chinese Restaurant (52 W Illinois St.), will be hosting a lunchtime special on creating a garden of Chinese herbs and vegetables, and how to utilize the fresh herbs and veggies in fresh dishes. Herbs include Thai basil, lemongrass, ginger, and more. Asian culinary instructor, and master gardener, Vivian Kuo Macht, will teach the class. This class is a perfect way to explore how you can make Chinese herbs and vegetables work for your vegetarian diet, and also promote sustainability by encouraging the use of personal gardens.

The class fee of $35 includes demonstrations, lunch, as well as a starter kit for growing your own Chinese herbs. Call Ben Pao at 312-222-1888 to reserve your spot.
