Happy first day of spring Long Island women with style. The warmer weather approaches, which means lighter clothing, sunscreen and baseball, but with the better New York team, the Bronx Bombers. As the New York Yankees finish spring training and prepare for Opening Day, April 1, a new website has emerged for Yankee fans to stock up on collectibles.

The New York Yankees Collectionary is the prime spot to find and buy items, rare collectibles, jewelry, bedding, cars, baseball cards and more for avid collectors of New York Yankee memorabilia. Inspired by the terms “collection and dictionary,” the Collectionary creators envisioned a site akin to a dictionary of sorts, which details Yankee collectables from around the world.

The New York Yankees Collectionary is currently in the market for moderators, or expert collectors to assist with each new piece added to the website. Not only can visitors stroll down memory lane as they peruse each item from the best baseball team in history, but Yankee fans can wax nostalgic as they learn the collectible’s history. If a Yankee collectible strikes a chord, the Collectionary will then point the user to the item’s website where it could be purchased.

There are great ideas for Mother’s Day and Father’s day gifts from the site. And of course, there are other MLB and NFL teams listed on the Collectionary, if you are not a Yankee fan, but that would be just wrong. For more information visit the New York Yankees Collectionary linked above or like them on Facebook. This Yankee fan must have a pair of New York Yankee earrings. Here’s to a fantastic 2014 with the New York Yankees!
