Celebrate 'Smallville' star Justin Hartley's birthday (Photos)

Justin Hartley, who currently plays Will Collins on The CW’s “Emily Owens MD,” turns 36 years old today (January 29)!

Justin Hartley started out with a starring role on an NBC soap called “Passions.” He began playing Fox Crane in 2002 and continued to play the role until 2006. During that time, he fell in love with co-star Lindsay Korman (who played Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald) and married her in 2004. Unfortunately, the two announced last year that they were divorcing. They have one child together.

After leaving the soap, Hartley landed a role on The WB’s popular super drama, “Smallville.” He played the role of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow until the show ended in 2011. This role gained the actor many fans. Because of this, there were many disappointed reactions when it was announced that he would not be starring in The CW’s new show, “Arrow” (Stephen Amell stars in the drama, which airs Wednesdays at 8).

The handsome actor was then cast as Will Collins on The CW’s “Emily Owens MD.” He plays a fellow doctor to Emily Owens, but their relationship is complicated because he was previously her med school crush. Unfortunately, the show has been canceled. But you can catch the remaining episodes Tuesdays at 9!

Throughout the years he's also guest starred on several popular series, including "CSI: NY," "Cold Case," "Chuck," "Castle," and, most recently, "Hart of Dixie."

Celebrate Justin Hartley’s birthday by watching an episode of one of the aforementioned shows. Before that, though, be sure to check out the slideshow at the top of the page, which is composed of photos of the very handsome actor.
