Kerry Washington, who currently plays Olivia Pope on ABC’s “Scandal,” turns 36 years old today (January 31)!
Kerry Washington started her TV career by making guest spots on several popular TV shows in the early 2000s. She had spots on shows including “NYPD Blue,” “Law & Order,” “The Guardian,” and “Wonderfalls.” In 2005, she landed a recurring role on “Boston Legal” (as Chelina Hall) and in 2008 she guest starred on USA Network’s “Psych.”
Then, in 2012, the beauty was cast in the lead role of Shonda Rhimes’ new ABC series, “Scandal.” She currently plays Olivia Pope, who runs a crisis management firm. Catch the show Thursdays at 10!
Before “Scandal,” the actress was mostly known for movies. Over the years she’s appeared in many popular films, including “Save the Last Dance,” “Ray,” “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” “Fantastic Four,” “Lakeview Terrace,” and “Django Unchained.”
