Paczkis are a delicious treat that appear in pastry cases all around Chicago right before Lent. The Polish tradition started from the need for people to use up all the lard, sugar, eggs and fruit before the Lenten season begins. A traditional paczki uses all these ingredients in a delightful treat, especially when these paczkis are made by Delightful Pastries.

On Fat Thursday, also known as Paczki Day, the tradition of enjoying decadent pazcki will begin. Delightful Pastries will open its Jefferson Park location at 5 am to serve up the city's favorite treats. The other locations, Old Town and Chicago French will open early at 6:30 am and 7 am.

Delightful Pastries offers a large selection of paczkis. From traditional flavors to adults only treats, it is difficult to enjoy just one.
