How bar time flies by when you’re having tipsy fun. The Varnish bar will celebrate its four-year anniversary this Sunday, February 24th. And what better way to celebrate this friendly local haunt’s history than with the greatest two words ever put together in the English language: “free drinks.”
That’s right, to thank loyal customers and supporters of The Varnish, located at 118 East 6th St in downtown Los Angeles (inside the famous French dip specialty restaurant, Cole’s) the bar will be serving complimentary Bols Genever punch (a sweet gin drink) and shots of Amaro Ramazzotti (a slightly bitter Italian liqueur) from 7:00-9:00pm this Sunday. What a perfect pairing for Oscar’s watching revelry in the heart of Hollywood.
After partaking in complimentary libations, be sure to stick around for the Sunday night band - Naughty Niki & the All Nighters - who sing cheeky songs from the 1920s, 30's and 40's. Niki Lindgren, a former bartender at The Varnish, brings her not-to-be-missed, comedic, sultry performance to The Varnish every Sunday night.
