Autumn at the Dallas Arboretum is even better this year with the addition of a traditional German beer garden with ethnic food offerings from Dallas' own Hans Mueller. Boasting an array of authentic German sausages, delectable cold potato salad, tangy hot German potato salad and Hans Mueller's Special Sauerkraut, the Dallas Arboretum's Oktoberfest Garten should delight ethnic food lovers of all ages.

The Oktoberfest Garten will delight German beer lovers, too, with Spaten Oktoberfest and Paulaner Oktoberfest in addition to Texas brewed Shiner Bock and Miller Lite for those on a diet.

It may be too late to book a ticket to Munich's famous Oktoberfest, but you do not need to leave the Metroplex to partake in an authentic German biergarten experience. Make the most of our beautiful fall weather at the Dallas Arboretum's Oktoberfest Garten and bring the kids: the Dallas Arboretum is family friendly and Hans Mueller's fabulous ethnic menu has a Child's Plate, too.

The Oktoberfest Garten is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 am to 4 pm, and Sundays from 12 noon to 4 pm. For a full menu, check out the Oktoberfest Garten special event webpage. For other special events and activities during Autumn at the Arboretum, maps and parking information see the Dallas Arboretum website.
