Looking for the best New Year’s Eve party in Kansas City? There’s something for everyone, and plenty of options available. Most bars and restaurants will be hosting celebrations of some sort, or look to some of these venues for even more spectacular parties.

3rd Annual New Year’s Eve Bash at the Power & Light District

Of course, bars and restaurants at Power & Light will have their own parties, but don’t forget the Live! Courtyard. There will be four bands, a laser light show, and a midnight ball drop, with no cover charge in the courtyard itself (there may be cover charges at individual venues).

Recession Proof New Year’s Eve Party at the Uptown

There’s a little something for everyone at the Uptown’s New Year’s Eve Extravaganza. Choose the VIP option for $80.00, or the “Not So” VIP option for $40.00 (hotel packages also available). There will be 5 rooms of entertainment available to all ticketholders, with the Conspiracy Room open to VIP guests. (18+)

New Year’s Bash at the Riot Room

If you can’t decide between hardcore metal and hip-hop, consider partying at The Riot Room. This year’s party will feature Mac Lethal, Coalesce, Cherokee Rock Rifle, Blunt Rap, and DJs Chadillac and Hoodnasty. There’ll be a champagne toast at midnight, and beer geeks won’t want to miss the tapping of a year-aged keg of Founder’s Breakfast Stout. Doors open at 8:00 p.m.; tickets are $20.00 at The Riot Room’s website. (21+)

New Year’s Eve at Martini Corner

$75.00 per person will get you entry into all 5 Martini Corner bars all night, with an open bar package that includes domestic beer, house wine and well drinks. VIP and reserved seating is also available. Purchase tickets at The Velvet Dog or at the Martini Corner website.

Hyatt New Year’s Eve Party

Ever wanted to see 20,000 balloons drop? Then the Hyatt is the place to be. Live entertainment includes four bands, including local favorites The Elders, Cherry Bomb, Charlie and the Stingrays, and The Shanks, along with DJs and comedian J. Chris Newberg.
