Celebrate New Year's in Dallas with your family

Francesco Marino

Finding New Year’s events the whole family can attend can be hard. Most New Year’s Eve events are for adults, and finding events on New Year’s Day can be difficult. Luckily, you are in a city that offers fun the whole family can enjoy. Whether you decide to party New Year’s Eve or celebrate on January 1, both can be a family affair.

Thursday, December 31, 2009
6 p.m. - Midnight
Victory Park, 3030 Olive St., Dallas, TX
Billed as “The Ultimate New Year’s Eve Destination,” Big D NYE promises to be bigger and better this year. The celebration will include live bands, a big countdown to midnight, and a spectacular fireworks conclusion. Depending on the ages of your children, this outdoor, FREE event could be a great way for your family to ring in 2010 together.

Wristbands are required for entry. Wristbands can be picked up at Dallas/Fort Worth locations prior to the event or at the gate the night of. Since wristbands will be distributed at the event on a first-come, first-serve basis, it is recommended that you get your wristbands in advance.

Can’t be part of the party? Tune in to WFAA-TV channel 8 to watch the show from the comfort of your home.
