Celebrate National Doughtnut Day at Krispy Kreme (Photos)

National Doughtnut Day was established in 1938 by the Salvation Army and is always the first Friday in June. Yes, that's right: today, June 1st, is National Doughnut Day, and all Krispy Kreme locations nationwide are giving out a free doughnut -- no purchase required -- in celebration.

While you're picking up your free doughnut, try out one of their new Krispy Kreme Chillers. There are two new flavors, including Frozen Cherry, Frozen Lemonade, and a blend of the two: Frozen Cherry Lemonade. There are also several new doughnut flavors to choose from, including the Key Lime KREME Pie and Glazed Lemon Cake with Cream Cheese Icing.

Krispy Kreme, which recently celebrated it's 75th Anniversary, also has several items available in grocery stores, including a boxed Lemon Pie, Organic Oatmeal (with several add-ons, including an Apple Cinnamon Medley and a Dried Fruit Blend) and lemon scented lip balms.
