To celebrate National Ceviche Day on Saturday, June 28, Traymore Restaurant and Bar at the new Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach hotel, has created Ceviche Weekend taking place from 5:00pm to 8:00pm daily from Thursday, June 26 thru Saturday, June 28 — offering a taste of its special ceviches and discounts on selected beverages, including Pisco Sour, as a special tribute to Peru – the home of ceviche.
Traymore’s own Peruvian ceviche chef, Miguel Puelles, will be showcasing his nationally acclaimed talent by offering a variety of tasting options of his freshly made ceviche. Miguel Puelles is Peruvian-born, but currently resides in Miami. The influence of his culture and heritage greatly impact the style of his cooking and his traditional techniques. New York Times knows him as one of the best ceviche chefs in Miami. Previously, Miguel Puelles worked under Chef Michelle Bernstein and Chef Daniel Boulud. Chef Bernstein was so intrigued by the flavors of his Peruvian heritage that she visited his home country. She often references him, and even invited him to cook at her wedding.
Guests will be able to try a single portion of ceviche for $5 or a platter of three different ceviches for $12. Half-priced pisco sour and half-priced Nolet Silver gin & tonic will also be available, along with discounted valet for $15. Reservations at Traymore Restaurant and Bar can be made by calling 305-695-3600. Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach is located at 2445 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33140.
