Celebrate Mardi Gras over Memorial day weekend at Universal Studios Florida

For those of you who thought that Mardi Gras ended more than a month ago, you obviously haven't been to the Universal Orlando Resort lately! For three more weeks, the streets of Universal Studios Florida take on a carnival atmosphere as the spirit of the Big Easy is channeled for the largest Mardi Gras party outside of New Orleans.

On Saturday, May 24, Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration continues with a live performance by multi-platinum British singer-songwriter Cher Lloyd at 9:00 p.m. The artist, whose is best known for her smash hit "Want U Back,” will be releasing her second album, "Sorry I'm Late," in stores and the internet on May 27.

Before the concert, guests can catch colorful beads by the handful during the festive Mardi Gras parade at 8:15 p.m., which features 12 vibrant floats, including three new additions celebrating Jules Verne’s novel, “Around the World in 80 Days.” Guests can also visit Universal Studios Florida’s very own French Quarter Courtyard at 4:00 enjoy authentic Cajun cuisine and see performances by bands pulled straight from Bourbon Street.

Next week, you can catch Huey Lewis and the News, and on June 7, prepare to rock the house with chart topping performer Robin Thicke. The excitement of Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration is included with admission to Universal Studios Florida.
