UPDATED February 28, 2014 - Due to the wet weather, the Mutti Gras Pet Parade is postponed. The new and improved Mutti Gras Easter Pet Parade will now be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at noon.
Forget the French Quarter. Let the good times roll at 25th Annual Farmers Market Mardi Gras right here in town! Day one of the free festivities kicks off at noon on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Enjoy the fun with family, friends and Fido.
Have a cute canine? Enter him or her now in The Mutti Gras Pet Parade and Costume Contest with The Dog Bakery, which starts at noon in the Plaza. The snappiest dressed dogs will be crowned King and Queen of Mutti Gras and awarded prizes. Register for free at the The Dog Bakery (stall 710), or call 323.935.7512.
The Wabash Wailers will be strolling around, playing all of your Dixieland favorites. Let the kids decorate crowns or have their face painted from 1 - 4 p.m. Listen to The Bluecat Express from 2-4 p.m. on the West Patio. Jimbo Ross & The Bodacious Bayou Boogie Band boogie on the Plaza from 2 - 5 p.m. Eddie Baytos & The Nervis Brothers throw down some Zydeco, Dixieland, and Blues from 5 to 8 p.m. on the West Patio.
Satisfy your taste buds by patronizing The Gumbo Pot for authentic gumbo, jambalaya and beignets. Wash it down with Dixie beer from E. B.'s Beer and Wine.
