Labor Day Weekend is upon us and while we may not want to admit it, summer is drawing to a close.
Say it isn’t so!
This is your chance to get in one last hurrah before the kids head back to school and homework and schedules rule your world.
You’ll want to head to Hermosa Beach for the annual Fiesta Hermosa taking place August 31 through September 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
With over 270 exhibitors, Fiesta Hermosa is the largest arts & crafts fair in Southern California. Enjoy balmy sea breezes as you stroll through downtown admiring the fine sculptures, paintings, photographs, clothing and jewelry on display.
An outstanding line-up of bands and musicians will be performing on two separate stages. The main stage, located on the Pier, will feature “tribute bands” playing classic rock. Country & western music and rhythm and blues will be showcased at the Charity Beer and Wine Garden where drinks will be served by local “celebrities”. Belly up to the bar, order a beer and ask the mayor about the state of the town.
The Food Court is always popular with several types of ethnic cuisine, classic barbeque and the ever-popular Hermosa Beach Lifeguard’s Famous Fish Tacos. Cotton candy, caramel apples and other goodies will be readily available to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The Kiddie Carnival features games, rides, a rock climbing wall, 30 foot slide and bungee jump for kids aged 3 to 10 years old. The Petting Zoo, Pony Rides and face painting will captivate kids of every age.
If you have two wheels, getting to Fiesta Hermosa is a breeze with the bike valet program. Hermosa Cyclery will valet your bike for free in a guarded lot on the sand just south of the Pier. It’s free, it’s green and that’s how they roll in Hermosa. Check the calendar link for additional details.
Get in one last weekend at the beach before summer is just a memory.
