Celebrate International Bacon Day in Denver with a bacon treasure hunt

Bacon Day has been held the Saturday before Labor Day since the year 2000 after some clever residents of Massachusetts decided it was the perfect day to celebrate all things bacon! Farmland couldn’t agree more; after all they’ve had a “passion for pork” since 1959. Thus, the Farmland Bacon Club was born.

This year, alongside bacon lovers near and far, the Farmland Bacon Club is celebrating International Bacon Day on Saturday, August 30 with The Great Bacon Treasure Hunt in Denver, St. Louis, and Kansas City (MO).

One lucky winner in each city will get a year supply of free bacon, a Bacon Club prize pack containing lots of bacon swag, and cold hard cash. Even better, members of the Bacon Club are eligible to win a trip to the annual Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival in Des Moines.

You can participate in the bacon treasure hunt by joining the Farmland Bacon Club or following Farmland on Facebook and Twitter and keeping an eye out for clues beginning at noon on August 30. The Hunt will lead bacon-lovers on a fun journey to some of Denver's most iconic locations. Fans of this crispy treat who cannot participate should not fret! There are still plenty of novelty bacon items and delicious recipes that can be easily made with Farmland Bacon in honor of the big day.

In addition to gathering more information on the Great Bacon Treasure Hunt in Denver, check out the Farmland Bacon Club website for your chance to win bacon-themed prizes, watch bacon videos, and find lots of bacon-licious recipes.
