Though Olivia Wilde has been sticking to the big screen lately, she started her acting career by appearing on television. In 2003 she was cast in the leading role of Jewel on Fox’s short-lived series, “Skin.” She then landed herself a role on a different—and already successful—Fox series: “The O.C.”
From 2004 to 2005, she played the recurring role of Alex Kelly on “The O.C.” While she was originally a love interest for Adam Brody’s Seth, she also ended up romancing Mischa Barton’s Marissa Cooper during her 13-episode stint on the drama.
Then, in 2007, Wilde was cast as Jenny Reilly on NBC’s mid-season drama, “The Black Donnellys.” Unfortunately, the show lasted only one season.
Later that year, the actress landed a big role on Fox’s “House.” She appeared as Dr. Remy 'Thirteen' Hadley in 81 episodes of the very popular series.
Celebrate Olivia Wilde’s birthday by watching an episode of “House.” Before that, though, be sure to check out the slideshow at the top of the page, which is composed of photos of the beautiful actress.
