Celebrate holidays with classic style gin drink recipes

Cocktails Examiner

Gin creates the perfect base for
holiday cocktails. It has the reputation of parental favorite from generations past and provides wonderful base for creative new cocktails and twists on
classic style martinis. To think about it in extreme basic terms
gin is merely
vodka with infused flavor and ramped up spirit. This added touch of flavor – juniper and other herbs – creates lovely variety to
cocktail recipes. A fundamental vodka and cranberry drink tastes like cranberry juice. Substitute gin for vodka and the experience becomes something rather unique. Flavors combine and the cocktail becomes a true mixed drink rather than plain tasting juice.
Beefeater Gin stands the test of time with its listing of
classic cocktail recipes and many fabulous concoctions beyond the usual.
Monkey Gland,
Hanky Panky and
White Lady are among a few of my favorite Beefeater drink recipes. But the Beefeater Ruby
Negroni topped with
prosecco, Duke of Manchester Punch,
French 75 or Bloodhound would all work in beautifully with many Thanksgiving feasts or holiday celebrations. My money is on the Beefeater Burrough’s Millionaire cocktail recipe for being everyone’s personal favorite at family dinner this year.

Nice to see gin getting some respect. Seeing those 200-strong martini menus with "The Classic" as the only one offered with gin -- it's rather grating....
Hi Tom! Agreed - It is fantastic seeing so many delightful gin recipes show up on cocktail menus with regularity besides the standard Gin Martini. Gin adds so much flavor to the cocktail. It is not just an old time spirit of the past. Thanks for stopping in and taking the time to comment.
