Alex O’Loughlin, who currently stars as Steve McGarrett on CBS’ “Hawaii Five-0,” turns 36 years old today (Aug. 24)!
Alex O’Loughlin landed his first starring role on television in 2007, when he was cast as vampire (and private investigator) Mick St. John on CBS’ “Moonlight.” The show only lasted one season, but it earned him plenty of fans who have continued to follow his career.
After “Moonlight” was canceled, the actor was cast in the lead role of Doctor Andy Yablonski on CBS’ “Three Rivers.” This show also lasted only one season, though CBS kept him in mind for later that year.
In 2010, the same year that “Three Rivers” was canceled, O’Loughlin was cast as Steve McGarrett on CBS’ “Hawaii Five-0.” The show will be entering its third season this fall!
Celebrate Alex O’Loughlin’s birthday by watching an episode of one of the aforementioned shows. Before that, though, be sure to check out the slideshow at the top of the page, which is composed of 50 photos of the very handsome actor.
