This Friday, November 1st, Kachina Southwestern Grill invites you to continue your Halloween festivities with a traditional Day of the Dead celebration. The chefs will be offering up holiday-inspired dishes like Pork Tamales, Candied Pumpkin with caramelized pumpkin seeds and Pan de Muerto a la mode, a classic Mexican sweet roll baked especially for this time of year. And of course, Kachina’s bartenders will be serving $20 pitchers of Arta Tequila margaritas all night long.
To further get into the Day of the Dead spirit, guests can decorate sugar skulls with icing and bright foils and kids can get their faces painted. The Taos Lounge inside Kachina will also play host to a Dia de los Muertos alter, created by local Southwestern Folk Artist Darin Sturgill. The alter will feature a hand-crafted chair made from animal bones as well as mini-skeletons, marigolds and candles to showcase the customary bright colors and decorations for this traditional Mexican holiday that celebrates loved ones who have passed away.
