Los Lobos 3rd Annual Cinco de Mayo celebration takes place at the Greek Theater this Saturday, May 3at 4 p.m. Doors open at 3 p.m. Featured musical guests for the evening include Ozomatli and Mariachi El Bronx.

If this is anything like their first event, it's sure to be a winner. The band's friends from Los Super 7 came out to play with them, Flaco Jimenez, and lead Texmaniacs singer, Max Baca. After all, Los Lobos forms more than half of Los Super 7's rotating cast. The evening included sets from X, Neko Case, and Mariachi El Bronx.

Los Angeles City Council representative Tom LeBonge presented the band with a Declaration stating the May 5 shall hereafter be known as Los Lobos Day in honor of their contributions to the arts, so it was indeed a very special evening. Of course, Los Lobos fans will be pleased to see their favorite East LA rockers yet again. And with support from Ozomatli and Mariachi El Bronx, it's certain to be a kickin' party.

You can order tickets directly, however, Goldstar offers half price tickets, as they announced via email. Tickets via Goldstar run from $12.50 to $45.00. However, they have the wrong time posted on their site. The Greek lists the start time for the concert at 4 p.m. Either way, you can't lose because there isn't a bad seat in the house. If you can't get enough of Mariachi El Bronx, they will play on Monday, May 5 in Solana Beach at the Belly Up. Tickets start at $16.
