Whether your family comes from the Emerald Isle or you feel a little bit Irish, everyone can celebrate St. Patrick's Day this Saturday, March 16 in Downtown Naperville. The annual St. Patrick's Day parade will begin at 10 am.
The parade route begins at Naperville North High School then heads south on Mill to east on Jefferson to Main. For the best area to view all the action, families should find a spot along Jefferson and Main. Complete details about the parade can be found at www.wsirish.org.
For the active members of our community, the St. Paddy's Day 5K begins around 8 am from Centennial Beach. To see if entries are still available, please visit www.stpaddysday5k.org.
The festivities don't end after the parade stops. Throughout Downtown Naperville stores and restaurants will offer shamrock savings. A few restaurants showing their appreciation of the leprechaun are Egg Harbor (opens 6:30 am), Jimmy's Grill (8:30 am), Lantern & Black Finn (9 am), Features (9:30 am), Quigley's, Heaven on Seven, Bar Louie (10 am) and Sullivan's Hugo's (11 am).
This Saturday come for the St. Patrick's Day parade and stay for a day of Irish fun in Downtown Naperville.
