The Stockton Conference and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) announced the winners of the 2013 Celebrate! Awards yesterday featuring three categories of partners and professionals to be honored during the springtime luncheon at the Hilton Stockton.
In addition to the awards recognition, the current state of travel, tourism, and hospitality in Stockton is to be discussed. The state of tourism looked promising in July 2012 when the SCVB issued a press release on Stockton travel data from the first two quarters. The data showed an up-tick in hotel occupancy for the first five months of the year. The growth was also seen in hotel revenue along with an increase in direct travel spending.
“At our luncheon we’ll share the importance of travel and tourism in our region and its impact on our local economy,” said Wes Rhea, CEO of SCVB. “We are also looking forward to celebrating some amazing people and organizations that understand and value our efforts to promote Stockton.”
