Celebrate Appalachian crafts, music and food at the Cabin Fever Arts Festival

Cleveland has had its typical harsh winter and by now you may be experiencing a touch of cabin fever. If you enjoy arts & crafts or are just looking for an excuse for a weekend trip, here is a remedy. Plan a jaunt to the 10th annual Cabin Fever Arts Festival on the Central Campus of Southern State Community College in Hillsboro, Ohio for Saturday, March 16.

Cabin Fever Arts Festival Sponsored by the Appalachian Artisans Guild, this free event will feature the presentation and sale of handmade items and fine arts from over 25 artisans including handwoven and knitted textiles, quilts, wooden toys, paintings, furniture, ceramics, soaps, stained glass, jewelry, items made from gourds, metal works and collectible teddy bears.

The Festival will also feature a quilt show, various demonstrations by the artisans and crafters and a Civil War exhibit.

Entertainment will be provided by local musicians performing live, traditional Appalachian music.

Guests will be able to purchase a variety of Appalachian-style food from an all new menu.

Hours for the Cabin Fever Arts Festival are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The Festival will be held in the gymnasium of the Patriot Center on the Central Campus of Southern State Community College which is located at 100 Hobart Dr. in Hillsboro, Ohio. Hillsboro is 219 miles from Cleveland and it is approximately a 3 hour, 50 minute drive.
