MCHS “SENIOR” CAT PROGRAMS—FOR CATS SEVEN YEARS OR OLDER
"Golden Oldie Program—for Senior Cats
- Part 1: Any patron who adopts a cat seven years or older will receive a coupon for $75 towards a future vet visit.
- Part 2: Any patron over 62 years old who adopts a cat over seven years old will receive a coupon for $75 towards a vet visit. In addition, should the cat develop a chronic medical condition requiring ongoing medical support, the patron may apply for reimbursement for veterinary costs. Such costs will not include routine office veterinary visits, vaccinations, grooming, etc. It is the purpose of this program to provide financial support for patrons who adopt a cat who may develop diseases commonly associated with senior cats. The patron who seeks reimbursement shall use a veterinarian who participates in MCHS programs. (* except licensing and microchipping.)" (MCHS)
Hours to visit the animals: Mon, Tue, Th, Fri 12-7; Sat, Sun 12-5.
Be sure to visit with all the animals at the shelter! And be especially cognizant of the senior pets residing there. These are the pets that usually require special care, humane understanding, and a gentle, loving person willing to give an older pet a second chance to live out its life with a loving family. Please consider adopting a senior pet...cat or dog...and you will reap the rewards that only an older pet can give. All homeless pets want forever homes. Won't you open your heart and your home to a shelter dog or cat?
