The Taste of the South End, a benefit for Boston's AIDS Action Committee at the Boston Center for the Arts, takes place tonight with 40 or more of the neighborhood's top restaurants participating.
The event rises money for the the 30-yar-old committee which offers services to persons living with AIDS, and provides educates both the public and health professionals about prevention of the disease, and advocates for policy at the city, state and federal levels.
The premiere culinary event offers samples, wine and cocktails from a stellar collection that includes Cinquecento, The Beehive, Bistro du Midi, Masa, El Centro, Stephi's on Tremont, Tremont 647/Sister Sorel, Yakitori Zai, Darryl's Corner Bar and Kitchen, 28 Degrees, Addis Red Sea, Aquitaine, Metropolis, Toro, Picco, Orinocco, The Gallows, Hamersley's Bistro and many more.
