Even the casual horror fan becomes an aficionado in October. I don’t mind it at all I live this life 24/7 so I don’t mind you guys popping in once a year and showing your love for this great culture. One thing that connects us all is the love for the movie that has the same name as our favorite holiday Halloween. This iconic film created the first american style mystery slasher as John Carpenter introduced us to the boogeyman Michael Myers. The shape returns to the big screen this October in new HD transfer. Some cities are showing Halloween 1,4, and 5 but we are only showing the original here.
Looks like the Tivoli theater in the Delmar Loop is the only theater in our area with showings of the feature which will take place on Wednesday October 30th at 9pm. Tickets are a pricey 12.50 but I’m sure the one time showing will sell out fast. Look for some post coverage of the event right here on this examiner page!
Celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the 1978 classic, “John Carpenter’s Halloween,” with a series of HALLOWEEN films on the big screen. The celebration begins in October with the nationwide release of “John Carpenter’s Halloween” and continues through the month with “Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers” and “Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers” in select theaters. Each of these films will be presented in a striking, new HD transfer and 5.1 audio.”
