Celebrate 100 years of Women's History

The 100the anniversary of Women's History Month will be celebrated by the KCK Branch of the NAACP and Women in NAACP 1 - 4 p.m. Sat., March 1, 2014 at the Kansas City Kansas Community College, 7250 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, upper level of the Jewell Building.

According to the press release, "WIN's National theme for the event is: Outstretched Hands and Open Hearts to Women and Children." Guest speakers include Anita Russell, National Board Member, and Wilhelmina Stewart, NAACP Regional WIN Director.

Included in the festivities will be a gospel group, The Anointed Ones, and magic show by local celebrity, Gene Hernandez.

The event and parking are free. Door prizes included.
