DENVER, CO – On January, 20th 2012, The Mercury Café, located at 22nd and California Street in Denver, CO, will host the Colorado Environmental Film Festival (CEFF) preview event to promote the 6th annual festival including film previews and special musical performances by singer/songwriter and local favorite, Gabrielle Louise and emceed by, Jonny 5, founding member of the Flobots. Both artists are Colorado’s very own musical icons in their respective genres and utilize their talent to help provoke social awareness and change. They will now come together to help support CEFF and its mission, “to inspire, educate, and motivate audiences. CEFF presents thought-provoking films and dialogue that raise awareness of a wide variety of interconnected ecological, social, and economic themes. The Festival provides an experience for the audience that goes beyond passive film viewing: CEFF inspires audiences into awareness and action.”
The event kicks off at 6:00pm with an opportunity to order dinner from the Mercury’s delicious organic menu and socialize with others in attendance. At 7:00pm, the entertainment begins with a more relaxed format including previews of this year’s films, live directors commentary and musical interludes performed by, Gabrielle Louise. The non-profit organizations supporting this year’s films will also be available for questions about how you, the audience, can make a difference in your own communities. Tickets are $15 and include dessert.
