CeeLo Green has been in the news a lot this last week regarding a court case he was involved in. Last week Green plead no contest to spiking a woman's drink with the drug ecstasy. The judge sentenced him to three years of probation and 360 hours of community service. Green maintained his innocence after copping the plea, basically saying he did nothing wrong. According to a September 2 report from Entertainmentwise, CeeLo Green made comments about the definition of rape on Twitter. When the comments were met with undesirable responses, Green deleted his entire Twitter account.

Fans of the artist and one-time star of “The Voice” were shocked by what CeeLo Green tweeted. While he did apologize for the comments before deleting the account, the damage was already done. The actual comment implied that rape can only happen if the victim is conscious. Not only was that completely uncalled for, but many feel it re-victimizes the victim. The tweets were saved and appear in this Buzzfeed article, but Green's Twitter account no longer exists.

NBC executives are definitely thanking their lucky stars that CeeLo Green is no longer affiliated with “The Voice” after all of this chaos. There is little respect left for the artist after the comments he made. Fans are expecting Green's publicist to do some damage control but this may just be the end of his career. As of this morning, nothing has come from Green or his people to rectify the damage done on Twitter last night.
