Cee Lo Green was a great coach on "The Voice" and he just didn't last on the show. He decided that it was time to move on and do something else. On Thursday, Reality TV World shared the news that Cee Lo is finally speaking out about why he left the show. He will not be returning in the upcoming season.
He spoke out to US Weekly about it all and fans were a bit surprised why he left. Cee Lo said, ""It easily and quickly became a job," Very, very obligating... Taxing and tiring... I still tip my hat to Adam and Blake and those guys who continuously do it, but I think I ran my course there just naturally."
It sounds like Ce Lo Green had fun with it at first but then it became too much work. His friend Adam Levine is the one who actually got him interested in the show. He said, "He called and said, 'Hey man, there's this new show 'The Voice' and I don't really know what it's going to be about, and I don't really want to do any more kind of music shows -- do you think it's cool? If you do it, I'll do it. If you don't do it, I won't do it." The show did great with Ce Lo but they have already done a few seasons without him. Usher sat in as a coach along with Shakira and fans loved them.
The upcoming season will have a new panel of coaches and it should be interesting to watch. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are returning to "The Voice" again. They have both been on there every single season and are fan favorites. Now Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams will be joining the show. It should make for an interesting season on "The Voice" when it returns this fall.
