Cee Lo Green has announced that he is quitting “The Voice” television program where he has been a coach for the past four years. Cee Lo Green, the 39-year-old music entertainer, says he will not be coming back for another season of the television show that pits one singer against others in competition, according to a People report on Wednesday.
Specifically, Green said - on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday – that he’s not coming back to the show because he doesn’t want to wear out his welcome there. Yet, Green says he is going to continue his relationship with NBC as he has a television development deal with them, and he says that hopefully some other talk-show opportunities will come up later.
Lionel Richie – who had an extremely successful solo singing career after being the lead singer of the group The Commodores – was also on Ellen’s show and said that Green will be joining him on tour.
