A Cedartown woman is now facing vehicular homicide charges in connection with a fatal vehicle accident that took the lives of two Cedartown residents in a head-on collision on Highway 278 near Branch Road on May 22, 2011.
crashed with the Honda driven by Carter, who was going east. Initial reports state that Carter failed to maintain her lane and crossed over the center line striking the men’s car.
The GSP Special Collision Recovery Team out of Calhoun assisted in the investigation
Tia Marie Carter. age 35, of Cedartown, Ga. was arrested on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 and been charged with 2 counts of first degree vehicular homicide, driving under the influence (DUI-drugs-less safe), failure to maintain lane and serious injury by vehicle.
