Cedar Creek & Belle Grove commission schedules public meetings

The Cedar Creek & Belle Grove National Historical Park Advisory Commission has set its schedule of quarterly meetings through next year. The National Park Service of the United States Department of the Interior announced the schedule in the Federal Register of Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014. The commission meets regularly to discuss implementation of the park's general management plan and projects going on in the park. These topics include visitor services such as signage and facilities and how to protect the historical character and natural resources of the park while planning usage.

The schedule was set as follows:

Thursday, September 18, 2014, Middletown Town Hall Council Chambers, 7875 Church St., Middletown, Virginia 22645.

Thursday, December 18, 2014, Warren County Government Center, 220 North Commerce Ave., Front Royal, Virginia 22630.

Thursday, March 19, 2015., Strasburg Town Hall Council Chambers, 174 East King St., Strasburg, Virginia 22657.

Thursday, June 18, 2015, Middletown Town Hall Council Chambers, 7875 Church St., Middletown, Virginia 22645.

Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, Warren County Government Center, 220 North Commerce Ave., Front Royal, Virginia 22630.

And Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, Strasburg Town Hall Council Chambers, 174 East King St., Strasburg, Virginia 22657.

All meetings are open to the public and begin at 9 a.m. The public may speak or send written statements. If you want to address the commission, you are asked to preregister. The typical meeting format starts with general introductions, followed by review of previous meeting notes, general discussion and review of reports, old business, new business and closing remarks.
