CDP on The Witcher 3 launch: 'We want gamers to feel their money is well spent'

It's been over a year since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was announced and we still know next to nothing as far as a release window goes. According to Andrzej Kwiatkowski this is because of the mentality CD Projekt RED has behind all of its projects. In an exclusive interview with Examiner, the gameplay designer gives us some behind the scenes insight.

"Of course we have a launch window in mind, we’re just not telling," he exclaims, laughing.

"On a more serious note though, we’re one of those companies that believe in the 'it’s ready when it’s ready' thing."

When consumers complain about wanting a product to release sooner than is healthy it can be frustrating to developers who are really just keeping those fans in mind the entire time.

"This stems both from our respect to gamers and the fact we just won’t release a game that does not represent the quality we want it to represent.

"It’s a simple thing, really: we want gamers to feel that their hard-earned money is well spent."

And with at least 100 hours of well developed content on the way, Wild Hunt will most certainly be worth the wait.
