CDC official charged with child sex abuse and bestiality returns to job

On Wednesday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Dr. Kimberly Lindsey, disgraced deputy director at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Laboratory Science, Policy and Practice Program Office, has returned to work for the CDC in Atlanta, Georgia.

Lindsey, 44, is currently under indictment for “two counts of child molestation and bestiality for sexual acts involving a 6-year-old boy”. She is charged alongside her purported live-in boyfriend, Thomas Westerman, 42 (pictured left) – a resource management specialist at the CDC – who is also facing two counts of child molestation.

Two questions now emerge: why is this monstrous woman still employed by the United States Government – and why has the media not given this major scandal as much coverage as the allegations surrounding Jerry Sandusky and Bernie Fine?

I am truly disgusted by these circumstances and call on CDC Director Thomas Frieden (who was the New York City Health Commissioner from 2002-2009) to immediately terminate both Lindsay and Westerman from their positions.

The mainstream news media must also fully expose what has happened here.

Although Westerman’s status at the CDC is currently unknown, disturbing, non-graphic images of him posing with young boys were discovered by the Manhattan Headlines Examiner today. One of these disturbing images is attributed to Westerman’s name and the seemingly-cryptic MyLife.com handle “yeayouwant2”.

One LinkedIn profile for Westerman claims he was fired from numerous government jobs and, specifically from Amylin Pharmaceuticals, “for sexual harassment”. As of press time, the accuracy of this information has not been fully confirmed.

Please contact CDC Director Thomas Frieden at 404.639.7000 and txf2@cdc.gov to demand the immediate termination of Kimberly Lindsey and Thomas Westerman.
