CD Review: Kronos - "Colossal Titan Strife"

Kronos - Colossal Titan Strife
Xtreem Music (2004)

Rating: C-

Like a child whose diet consists of Happy Meals, sugary cereals and carbonated sodas, this album will appeal to beginners and outsiders of the death metal genre as a type of Fisher Price "My First Death Metal Album" playtoy; melodies are as light as a Nerf football, rhythms bounce along like a playground kickball, and while none of these songs (save the final track) are inherently offensive, the complete lack of artistic intent is.

Notes:
For better albums from the Xtreem Music label, check out the reissues of Morpheus Descends' Ritual of Infinity or Demigod's Slumber of Sullen Eyes, the latter, if only for the added demo material.
