May I have every ones attention; it is time for you to experience the talents of Thomas Helton - bass, Seth Paytner - sax, Richard Cholakina - drums, and special guest Robert Boston - piano at Cezanne this Friday, February 08, 2013 for The Core Trio's CD Debut Party and Performance.
Thomas Helton is an accomplished composer and bassist in his style can be described a free and experimental jazz. His awards include the 2007 Houston Arts Alliance Individual Artist Fellowship Grant and in 2004 award an artist residency from DiverseWorks ArtsSpace for the commission and premiere of Pride. Thomas is very busy and continues to tour across the US with a potential tour in Europe.
The Core Trio's debute CD 'Discontent' is currently available on CD Baby. There you will find some of Thomas Helton's solo works such as Sage (2009), Double Bass (2003), and Experimentation In Minimalism (2002).
