CD “All About Bullies…Big and Small” wins Grammy

The CD “All About Bullies…Big and Small” took home the Grammy Sunday in a star- studded ceremony before the nationally televised show.  The award was handed out to the producers by the band OK Go.

The CD was locally produced in Warminster outside Philadelphia. It was featured in a previous article here.

After much hard work, and overcoming some 140 contenders who submitted in the category Best Children’s Album, the Bullies CD was among five to become nominated, and then on Grammy Day, it was proclaimed the winner.

Steve Pullara, one of five producers to accept the award said, “For all the kids in the world, know that Philadelphia loves you.”

Many people lent their talents to this CD and about 15 of them were there on stage to accept the award in addition to four out of five of the producers. (Patrick Robinson didn’t make the trip to Los Angeles for the event).

“Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this,” gleamed Gloria Domina, producer on the CD as she took her time at the microphone.  Producer Jim Cravero thanked East Coast Recording and the great team, while Kevin Mackie finished up by saying “We do this because we only want to promote positive change.”

The Bullies CD win was announced during a ceremony in the Los Angeles Convention Center where 68 awards were given out starting at 3 p.m. The Best Children’s Album category was the 35th award.

After their acceptance speeches, the producers and several performers on the CD, including Whitney Peyton were ushered into the nearby Staples Center concert hall where the televised Grammys were about to be held. There, backstage, they were interviewed by the press, and then photographed for an official portrait.

At 5 p.m., the Grammys main event took place on the stage at the Staples Center where all enjoyed a great show.
