CCBC Women's Expo This Weekend

Moms, plan to visit the 8th annual CCBC Women’s Expo at CCBC Catonsville  this weekend.  The cost for the event is only $6.00 per day and the proceeds from the ticket sales benefit students:  I am giving away 25 complimentary tickets(first come- first served-) email me at mia_redrick@findingdefinitions.com to request tickets.

 More than 200 exhibitors, workshops and guest speakers


Baltimore County, Md. - The Community College of Baltimore County's American Association for Women in Community Colleges will host its 8th annual Women's Expo 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 in the L Building (Gymnasium) at CCBC Catonsville, 800 S. Rolling Road. Admission to the event is $6 per day at the door and free for those with student or military IDs. Go to www.WomensExpoMD.com  for more information.

 

According to Patsy Anderson (pictured above), promoter of the two-day event, "More than 200 exhibitors are expected to participate this year including a host of small businesses and non-profit entrepreneurs as well as corporate businesses, health care and fitness and education providers. While several exhibitors represent goods and services for women only, many of the vendors provide services for both men and women."


Again this year, the CCBC Women's Expo exhibitors will host a "Queen for a Day" program for 25 physically challenged women treating them to hair styling, make-up by ARBONNE, goodie bags as well as a recognition ceremony complete with sashes and crowns by the Red Hat Society.

"Book Lovers Café - All Things Literary" presented by Julie Williams of "A Good Book" Book Store and Maggie Schorr of "Friends of the Catonsville Library," held in the K Building Cafe.

 

ReMarriage Magazine and Weddings by Sandy will be presenting a "Wedding Expo" 12 -5 p.m. Sunday only in the CCBC Barn (B Building)

 

Home improvement demonstrations will be given at 2 p.m. "Window Dressing with Renewal" by Anderson Windows and 3 p.m. "De-Cluttering Your Home" by Organized! by Romanic

 

MINI BUSINESS (IN-BOOTH) WORKSHOPS

 

"Minding Your Own Business" by Deanna Lilly of Bizness Concepts

 

"Money Matters for Women" by MaryAnn Manning of Primerica

 

The Wellness Evolution is sponsoring live demonstrations on "Self-defense for Women, Yoga, Fitness and more" by Ashtanga Yoga Md., and "Core works, Transformations, Wellness Evolution" by Washington's Karate Dojo

 

The CCBC Catonsville chapter of American Association for Women in Community Colleges uses the proceeds from the CCBC Women's Expo to sponsor programs and scholarships for CCBC Catonsville students. "AAWCC has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships over the last seven years," notes Nancy Meyer, chairwoman for this year's CCBC Women's Expo.
