CBS Sports begins its 2013 golf coverage this week with first of 21 tournaments including the Masters, PGA Championship, 18 PGA TOUR events, one Champions TOUR event and nine golf specials.
Beginning this weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open and for all 18 PGA Tour events this year, CBS Sports’ PGA TOUR coverage will be fully available for the first time through live streaming. Visitors to www.CBSSports.com and www.PGATOUR.com will be directed to a co-branded video player to watch live streaming of Saturday’s and Sunday’s broadcasts. The live streaming also will be available on CBS Sports and CBS SportCaster applications for the iPhone, Android and iPad as well as through a web-based player at www.cbssports.com.
CBS Sports tees off the 2013 season at the Farmers Insurance Open this Saturday and Sunday 3:00-6:30 p.m. (locally on WTSP-TV in the Tampa Bay area) live from the South Course at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, Calif.
Jim Nantz, now in his 28th year overall covering golf for CBS Sports, serves as anchor for the Networks’ golf coverage. Sir Nick Faldo, winner of six majors and more than 40 tournaments worldwide, returns for his seventh year as lead analyst alongside Nantz in the 18th tower. Ian Baker-Finch, Gary McCord, David Feherty, Peter Kostis, Bill Macatee, Verne Lundquist and Peter Oosterhuis round out the CBS golf broadcast crew.
