The crime drama “Person of Interest” (CBS) can be seen each Tuesday evening at 10/9 p.m. Last night's episode on May 6, 2014 was called, “A House Divided” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 10.41 million TV viewers overall. It reached 1.7 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic.
In that same time period at 10 p.m. “Chicago Fire” (NBC) grabbed 7.01 million TV viewers overall & 1.9 with adults. “Celebrity Wife Swap” (ABC) nabbed 2.81 million TV viewers & 0.9 with adults.
The government is watching you & there are cameras everywhere. “A House Divided” opened with the year 2010. The FBI shows up with an arrest warrant for Jesse who is the brother of Peter Collier. Peter works for a group called, “vigilance.”
Flash forward to 2014 as John & Samantha chase a man on the roof of a tall building. They are searching for Harold Finch who was captured by the “samaritan” group who has the second “machine.” The man jumps to his death & they are again, nowhere near finding out the location of Harold. Root stole 7 of “samaritan's” computer servers. She brings in two computer hackers to track down Harold.
“Samaritan” leader, John Greer goes to senator Ross Garrison who was forced to shut down a group he created called, “control.” They were trying to get their hands on the second “machine.” Greer wants information on 300 million Americans that Garrison can provide. He has to pay massive fees though. Greer plans to sell that information through “samaritan.” Garrison also wants to buy “samaritan”, but Greer tells him that it isn't for sale.
John answers the pay phone on the street & the machine gives him a new “number.” It turns out to be “control” (female) who is back in town. John, Root & Samantha have to protect “control” whose life is in danger. Root says the second "number" they have to protect is senator Garrison. “Control” claims that John Greer stole “samaritan” from her & she wants it back. She goes to national security to try to over pass those enormous fees.
John Greer wants “samaritan” to go online to the internet. Harold tells him not to because that second machine cannot be controlled. Greer doesn't want control. He wants chaos. The third group called “vigilance” is in town to kill “control.” Peter Collier is with “vigilance.”
