CBS 'Person of Interest' returns with excellent Heist job to help 'number'

The crime drama “Person of Interest” (CBS) can be seen each Tuesday evening at 10/9 p.m. Last night's episode on Feb. 4, 2014 was called, “Provenance.” In the overnight TV ratings it grabbed 12.14 million TV viewers overall. It reached 2.1 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. The season finale of “The Biggest Loser” (NBC) 9-11 p.m. garnered 7.38 overall & 2.2 with adults. “Killer Women” (ABC) nabbed 3.07 overall & 0.7 with adults.

Person of Interest” stars, James Caviezel (John Reese), Taraji Henson (Detective Carter), Kevin Chapman (Detective Lionel Fusco), Sarah Shahi (Samantha Shaw), Amy Acker (Root) & Michael Emerson (Harold Finch).

The government is watching you & there are cameras everywhere. “Provenance” opened with a professional thief who got away from a museum with an expensive artifact. Finch comes up with a new “number” named Kelly Lin who might be a spy. She was hired as an event planner for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

John has returned to work alongside Samantha & they both have dressed up for an event at the museum. There are protesters outside the museum as guests arrive. Kelly is charming plus she knows how to do her job. She points out to Samantha a rich investment banker who is among many guests with money to spend. Someone has set off a gas bomb & cut off the lights. An unknown person dressed in black steals an expensive art piece & it is Kelly.

Samantha overhears a Foreign agent who is following Kelly & claims that she uses accomplices. Finch & John are listening in on a conversation between Kelly & her boss from the country of Prague, Czech Republic. She tells him she is finished with stealing, but he says she has one more job to do. Finch tells John that Kelly used to be a former Chinese gymnast who trained for the Olympics. She was cut from the team for practicing in another country.

Kelly is asked to steal a historical Bible as her last job, but she fails. Samantha broke into Kelly's apartment & then follows her. Her boss is upset as Kelly tries to think of another way to get that Bible. Her daughter is being held as a hostage over Kelly's head.
