CBS fans have a reason to smile going into this weekend. The eye network has picked up the back nine episodes for their remaining three new fall comedies, The Crazy Ones, The Millers, and Mom. After canceling We Are Men just last week, CBS is pushing forward with full seasons of the star-studded comedies. It seems the bigger the name, the bigger shot they really do give you!
"We’re proud of CBS’s leadership position in comedy and excited to build on it with the back nine pick-ups of these three new comedies," Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment, said in a statement to the press.
"These series are creatively distinct, continue to improve each week and are led by strong showrunners, writing and production staffs, and feature amazingly talented casts."
The Crazy Ones stars Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar as a father/duo who run an advertising firm and each week have to come up with a clever campaign while balancing crazy antics in the office.
The Millers stars Will Arnett as a guy whose mother (Margo Martindale) moves in with him after his divorce inspires his own parents to split up. He must navigate keeping both parents happy and also basically taking care of his sister (Jayma Mays) and her family.
Mom stars Anna Faris as a recovering alcoholic who juggles a crappy job, a knocked up teenage daughter, a deadbeat ex, and an addict mother (Allison Janney).
