CBS News' Lara Logan talks aftermath of Egypt sexual assault

It's been almost a year since CBS News reporter Lara Logan was brutally attacked and sexually assaulted while trying to report on the revolutions in Egypt -- and to this day, she is still trying to work through some of the aftermath.

Speaking in a new interview with the New York Daily News, Logan did her best to explain some of the post-traumatic stress that has come her way since that fateful day:

“It manifests itself in different ways. I want to be free of it, but I’m not. It doesn’t go away. It’s not something I keep track of. It’s not predictable like that. But it happens more than I’d like.”

Unfortunately for Logan, this is something that will never really go away -- but the good news is that she is trying to press on and be as good of a mother and a TV journalist as she can possibly be.

Do you think Logan is certainly an inspiration now after all she has been through?
