CBS 'Hawaii Five-0' returns with 'Sins of the Father' 2014

The 1970's remake “Hawaii Five-0” (CBS) can be seen each Friday evening at 9/8 pm. Last night's episode on Jan. 31, 2014 was called, “Na Hala a ka makua.” In the overnight TV ratings it grabbed 11.13 million TV viewers overall. It reached 1.7 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “Shark Tank” (ABC) grabbed 7.36 overall & 2.1 with adults. The 2-hour episode of “Dateline” (NBC) nabbed 6.00 overall & 1.2 with adults.

Hawaii Five-0” stars, Alex O'Loughlin (Steve McGarrett), Scott Caan (Danny 'Danno' Williams), Daniel Dae Kim (Chin Ho Kelly), Grace Park (Kono Kalakaua), Masi Oka (Dr. Max Bergman) & Michelle Borth (Catherine Rollins).

“Na Hala a ka makua” opened with a man named Roy Parrish who is sentenced to prison, but he soon escapes. He used to operate real estate scams across the island & received life in prison for a federal crime. “Five-0” discovers that Parrish has been in & out of prison his whole life. He is now a fugitive on the run & has an estranged daughter.

Danno goes to the principal's office where his daughter Grace attends school. She stood up to bully & hit him so hard that he required stitches. Danno believes Grace's fighting is justifiable because she defended herself. She doesn't tell the principal the whole truth & apologizes. She gets suspended for one week & Danno is shocked by her behavior because he raised her to be a proper young lady.

Parrish ends up hiding in the backseat of McGarrett's car. He takes McGarrett & Danno hostage plus confiscates their own guns. McGarrett tells Parrish to turn himself in because it is the best solution who doesn't listen. There is a police road block ahead of them which they have to go through.

Parrish takes Danno's iphone & calls Grace. He tells Danno that if they don't make it through the road block she will hear Danno get killed over the phone. Parrish also has a daughter with whom he hasn't been the best of fathers. He handcuffs Danno & McGarrett together in the car. He explains to them that he is innocent of his latest charge & forces them to help him convince others of his innocence.

Danno & McGarrett confuse the Hawaii police department by evading the law. Why does Parrish want to prove to his own daughter that he is innocent?
