The 1970's detective drama remake “Hawaii Five-0” (CBS) can be seen each Friday evening at 9/8 p.m. Last night's episode on Nov. 1, 2013 was called, “Kupouli 'la.” In the overnight TV ratings it grabbed an overall 9.61 million TV viewers. It reached 1.3 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “Shark Tank” (ABC) won the night with adults at 1.7 & 7.11 overall. “Grimm” (NBC) took second with adults at 1.5, but 4.95 overall.
“Kupouli 'la” opened with Dr. Bergman dressed up in a Halloween costume with others dancing at a theater sing-a-long. Out of the darkness comes a male dressed in a business suit with a limp. He's bleeding & disrupts everything. He acts like a zombie, biting one male & choking a police officer who ends up shooting him twice.
Chin comes down to investigate & Dr. Bergman believes the male has classic signs of being a zombie. He tried to help the male then was infected with blood. Bergman passes out at the crime scene & CPR was performed.
Chin discovers that the zombie was named Michael Desner. He was on a hallucination drug called 'scopolamine' that may have been given to him before getting robbed. Chin confirms that Michael was not robbed after a lavish Halloween party. Someone drugged him instead to get a key to a body morgue. Chin discovers the missing head from the body of Lisa Mills at that morgue.
Michael was seen on a security camera being attacked in the parking lot by a male in a black mask. He was drugged twice & it explains why he went into a psychotic rage. Chin believes Lisa may have been drugged too before she died in a car accident.
McGarrett & Danno listen to a male breathing heavily on Lisa's phone answering machine. They trace the phone signal to a field cave that has a deep tunnel under it. McGarrett goes in, but Danno cannot because he is claustrophobic. Meanwhile, Catherine doesn't tell McGarrett that she has been investigating a man with the last name of “Sato.” The men who work for him in Hong Kong had kidnapped Adam. Sato's money transfers from the far east to a bank in Hawaii.
Who does McGarrett find in the deep tunnel? Can “Five-0” retrieve the missing head of Lisa Mills? Why are these people being drugged with scopolamine? Is Catherine planning to helping Adam & Kono?
