As McGarrett gets to a new crime scene, a news reporter approaches him. He asks questions about Lou Grover (Chi McBride) & wants to know if McGarrett knew why Lou left Chicago PD under a dark cloud. He is now the head of the SWAT unit in Hawaii. The reporter claims that a hostage situation in-which Lou was involved went bad & was quashed. Why? McGarrett did not want to hear about it because the facts may not be true.

A dead man has been found in the wall of a home where a couple just moved in. That man was shot in the head & was buried in the wall for at least 7 months. His name is Guy Ingram who works on the island as a top real estate agent. He planned to take a flight to Los Angeles. Someone stopped him from getting on that plane.

Guy purchased another ticket for a female who never got on the plane either. When Guy left, a Ms. Stratton took over all of his high end real estate deals. Meanwhile, the news reporter confronts Lou who claims he was cleared of all charges in the hostage situation back in Chicago. The reporter tells Lou that if he doesn't get more of his story. The news expose on Lou will run in print & said it won't be pretty.

Chin Ho & Kono visit Ms. Stratton who claims she didn't kill Guy, who was her real estate competitor. Kono discovers that the bullet found in Guy's head was from a gun that's two years old. Kono seeks out a two year cold case file, but the box disappeared.

Will Kono & Chin Ho track down the killer of Guy Ingram? What is Danno going to do about his Mom & her divorce? Was the hostage situation back in Chicago Lou's fault? - You can watch the full episode of “Pale 'la” on the official website of “Hawaii Five-0.”
