The 1970's remake Of “Hawaii Five-0” (CBS) can be seen each Friday evening at 9/8 p.m. Last night's episode on April 4, 2014 was called, “Ho'i Hou.” In the overnight TV ratings it garnered 9.52 million TV viewers overall. It reached 1.3 million TV viewers in the all important 18 to 49 adult demographic. “Shark Tank” (ABC) grabbed 7.19 overall & 1.9 with adults. “Grimm” (NBC) nabbed 4.88 overall & 1.3 with adults.

“Ho'i Hou” opened with Chin Ho & Jerry going back to their 1989 high school reunion. There are poster size black & white photos of the students hanging from the ceiling. They take out their time capsule & find a CD of the duo “Milli Vanilli.” Suddenly, over the intercom a former classmate named Laura Richmond is heard screaming. Chin Ho tries to find her, but she ends up being thrown down a stairwell.
Kono & Chin Ho find out that no one has seen Laura in 25 years. She had never returned for the 10 year reunion & had no contact with any of the former students. All her classmates were shocked that Laura returned to the island, but she never wanted to reconnect with anyone. Catherine finds out that Laura withdrew $200,000 from her bank account. The money is missing.
Steve & Chin Ho interview Laura's family & they find out that she suffered from depression. She comes from a rich family background & no one knew that Laura was back in town. She had a trust fund from the Richmond estate, but never touched her money because she was very independent. Kono finds out that a classmate named Tony Gibson has a warrant arrest out on him in Florida. He is accused of extortion & black mail.
They find Tony in a club who is a second rate magician performing old tricks. He calls himself an illusionist & “Five-0” takes him for questioning. He is shocked that Laura was killed. Tony plays a card trick on women & he did it to Laura where one of his bloody cards showed up near her body. Kono discovers that Laura paid a hospital bill worth $197,000 at Honolulu General.
